Homework: Your homework is to re-write the poem about the "Spell Checker" and to write down why it is ironic. This is due on Monday.

Homework: Today I read to you a poem about Gelert the dog. Your homework is to draw and put captions under your drawings to do up a storyboard. This is to help you identify the main parts of the poem (story) and to plot it out using the storyboard. This is due on Monday.

Homework; There is NO homework except to get a good night's sleep and a good breakfast in the morning before you write your provincial exam.

LANGUAGE ARTS 8/9-1

Homework: I want to thank the grade 8's for being so patient as we prepare the grade 9's for their upcoming provincial exams. They will write them tomorrow and then we can move on. We will be finishing off the year with poetry as well as one final project on Invitation to the Game!

LANGUAGE ARTS 7/8-1

Homework: Well, many of you were away yesterday on your band trip and we are now finished with out HLAT's so we can move on. You have your trading cards to complete and they are due next Wednesday, May 23rd. Look through the green handout again to make sure you know what you need to do for the trading cards for the novel The Outsiders. If not, come and see me. Also, remember that you need to hand in tomorrow the white booklet that compares the movie and the novel. It was due in today's class but I gave you the evening to make sure you did your very best work before handing it in.

Language Arts 8/9-1

Homework: On Wednesday is your Provincial Exam for Writing. Make sure you come and get extra help if you are still finding it difficult to know how to do an essay or write a business letter.

Language Arts 903

Homework: Read through the samples of essay writings and give each of them a mark for how well you felt they did. We will go through them on Monday.

Language Arts 904

Homework: You should be working on the booklets and finish writing your letter and essay. Hand them in before Wednesday so I can see how you are doing with them. Remember: On Wednesday is your provincial exam - if you want some extra help please come and see me.

Language Arts 7/8-1

Homework: We have now finished our final exam for our novel study. You should start working on your project of making your trading cards. I will be giving you time to work on them this coming week but come prepared - pencil crayons, index cards and pictures etc.
