Homework: Finish your Mayan Tour essay. Here are the helpful tips for your introduction and conclusion pararaphs: Due: Monday, January 29th.

Introduction paragraph:
First sentence: use one of the following ideas:
1) A definition
2) A statistic
3) A location (geography of the location)
4) A interesting question
5) A funny joke that relates to the topic
Last sentence of your intro paragraph: This is your thesis statement which tells your reader what your essay will cover. Here is what we came up with: The Mayan Tour consistes of the Mayan ruins, the lagoon, and the Mayan village.
Conclusion paragraph: Remember NOT to say "in conclusion". Summarize three main ideas and interesting thoughts from paragraph 2, 3 & 4. Make each of them a sentence. You may use "I" when completing your conclusion paragraph.
